INTRODUCTION TO NORTHERN ITALY GALLERY Glimpses of Northern Italy. From a 25-day trip to Italy to visit Milan, Turin, Bologna, Florence, and Verona with day trips to Parma, Ferrara and Rome (not pictured). Missing from this picture-taking scavenger hunt are the polite and friendly interactions, and excellent customer service we experienced throughout, and the enjoyable breakfasts of croissants and lattes, lunches and dinners of pizzas and foccacias, and wide variety of freshly made pastas moistened on the side with either an spritz apertivo or regional red wines, and gianduja chocolotes or gelato in between. We traveled via high-speed train for all but one of our trips reaching speeds of up to 180mph. We could clearly see the snow capped Alps from Turin and Verona. The range of history we viewed and captured here was probably the singular feature of the trip that we will remember and tried to record here. |
